In my experience, I have found that people who have the best success, in particular in removing urine from carpet, do so soon after the event has happened.
The Problem Is that quite often the product that people use on the carpet is far too powerful particularly for the first responders, for while the urine, faeces, or vomit is still mobile in the carpet, and dissoluble, you don't want to be throwing powerful enzymes and oxygen filled products at the stain because they have the potential to bleach the carpet and you end up with a bleached area on the carpet after the stain is removed.
Don't get me wrong, those products have their place, but for the first days after an accident there is, I believe a better way that has virtually NO CHANCE of this bleaching problem.
VeryDirtyCarpets has tackled this problem in a radically different way. Using very clever chemistry, we use encapsulation technology to trap the baddies that have been deposited in your carpet and surround them with a non-stick polymer crystal that when it dries any residue can be easily vacuumed out of the carpet.
This Pet Stain Remover is so effective that you often can't tell where the stain was in the first place.
One last thing, many of the pet stain products have a strong masking odor to cover the smell of the decomposing urine. Often the cure is as bad as the problem. The VeryDirtyCarpets Spot and Stain Remover has no added fragrance and is much gentler to the nose and when you encapsulate the urine the smell is trapped so the issue is reduced or removed completely.
